Ozempic®

Ozempic is a brand-name version of the medication semaglutide, which belongs to a class of drugs known as glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists. To simplify, we refer to these medications as "GLP-1s."

Ozempic is FDA-approved for managing specific symptoms and reducing the risks associated with type 2 diabetes.

Important Safety Information: Ozempic treats type 2 diabetes but may be prescribed off-label for weight loss, if appropriate. Ozempic may have serious side effects, including possible thyroid tumors.
